Each season, we ask a top stylist to show us exactly how they style out their looks. This Autumn, we ask Karen Williams from @karenwilliamstylist to demonstrate her fabulous layering techniques and how to make each piece in the wardrobe work hard, look great and keep warm!

 

Karen starts with an all-time favourite – a Narnia style winter white story.

 

“I simply love cream for winter, it is so cosy and a reminder of a winter wonderland. I’ve begun my look with a simple skinny jean, and added a plain vest.

`Then it’s time to cosy this look right up! I could not resist this puff sleeve cable knit, a new twist on a classic piece, and was delighted to find these cosy socks, which I am wearing with a pair of cute faux fur sandals

“ What could be a more classic piece than a white cotton tee? Worn all year round, it is a staple in my wardrobe and here, I’m pairing it with a crisp black pleated skirt. Tucking in the T keeps a smooth line, and I’ve layered the look with a simple black knit for an elegant feel
