We love to see how different people style their homes, and here we learn how Pip Jolley updated her hallway with some beautiful pieces from our collection. Pip loves mixing vintage and new, and her colourful home is as happy as her name!

I’ve lived in our flat for about 3 years, while my partner Daniel has been here for nearly 15. It was still basically a blank canvas when I moved in, so I’ve injected a whole lot of colour and life into it. Our hallway was looking very bland and boring compared to the rest of the house and so I decided to use some of the spare time we’ve had recently to transform it.
I’m not a fan of white walls so the first task was to throw some colour at it in form of the latest interior trend - painted arches. These are really easy to achieve, you just need some string and a pencil, oh and of course a steady hand. Then I headed over to the La Redoute website in search of those stand-out pieces that would give me the look I wanted.
Our hall is really dark with no natural light, and so a big statement mirror like this one really helps to bounce the little light we do have and create the illusion of more space. This is going to be perfect for taking those important OOTD pictures.
On the theme of lighting I picked these amazing retro pendant lights. I am obsessed with the 60s and 70s and the orange glass of these give off a warm glow that makes the hall feel so cosy. I really love mixing vintage with modern in our home especially with lighting fixtures, but we needed two matching pendants for this space and so these are perfect. When they arrived I realised that the drop of the pendant was too long and so I shortened them to the right height. This was surprisingly really easy and I have now deemed myself a DIY queen.
In the future I would love to replace the floor in here, but in the meantime this Berber style rug does the job. The size is perfect for the space and the orange lines really tie in with the orange of the pendants. It is so cosy on your feet as well, which is exactly what we need now winter is coming.
No room is complete without some form of greenery and a bit of art. With the lack of natural light I knew the plant would have to be something artificial or dried, so this oversized blue vase is perfect to house a few stems of pussy willow picked up from our local flower market. Our posters are from past museum exhibitions and they really help tie everything together and make the space pop. Now I want to spend all my time walking up and down the hallway like it’s a runway.
