There’s nothing quite like cashmere for keeping cosy and looking chic all in one – it’s classic, it transcends trends and if you look after it, it’ll last a lifetime.
A proper care routine is key to keeping your cashmere soft and beautiful, though. Whether you’ve got your eye on this bold raspberry roll neck

Wash gently
If you have the option, use the handwash setting on your washing machine. Some swear by baby shampoo as an alternative to washing powders to keep the fibres super soft… worth a try! If you don’t have a handwash cycle, pop your cashmere inside a pillow case and put it on a cold wash instead. To dry, lay out flat on a towel. No twisting or wringing, please!
Beware the moth
Moths are cashmere’s mortal enemy – if given the chance, they will munch their way through your precious pieces without a second thought… especially if there’s any moisture in the fibres. To keep moths at bay, make sure your cashmere is stored properly – it needs to be completely dry, then folded and stored in a ziplock bag. You can line the bags with anti-moth paper strips for extra protection, then pop them in your drawers so you can still access your cashmere when you want to wear it.
Remove bobbles
Cashmere bobbles easily, and pilling can make it look shabby. Luckily bobbles are easy to remove – lay your cashmere on a flat surface and use a debobbler or knitwear comb to gently pick up the pills.
Repair holes
If you’ve founded a dreaded hole in your beloved cashmere – don’t worry! Holes can be easily repaired and if you’re quick, you can stop them getting any bigger. We recommend using a professional to repair holes in cashmere, to ensure it’s done properly. Pop to your local clothing repair shop or dry cleaner and see if they can help.
