My first memory of La Redoute was flicking through the catalogue at home with my sister, as a 13 year old girl, picking out a sleeveless Espirit multicolour logo tee, desperate to look as cool as an older girl I had spotted on holiday the month before. It reminds me of salty, halcyon days in Mallorca and it was the start of my long love affair with the fashion brand for many years, even working with La Redoute in an editorial capacity in my first work internship on Company magazine - I was given a ‘get the look’ page and was asked to pick High Street alternatives to Kylie Minogue’s airport outfit - and I just knew this french brand would find a match for the perfect silk scarf to shoot. Faultless french chic.
Fast forward to 2016, 10 years of magazine experience under my belt and I was re-introduced to the brand, but this time via the interiors section and a certain friend and fellow Influencer: Erica Davies. By now I was cheating on fashion with interiors, and Erica’s favourite rug was reaching peak Insta-fame - it even had its own Instagram account!
I was drawn to the marble console table, which I still have in my hallway now and soon rediscovered the fashion (my favourite logo tee, an update on my Espirit vest, is a perennial classic) and baby clothes (Peggy left the hospital in one of the wrapover babygros).

The interiors offering is really strong this season, which made styling this shoot so easy. I love how the homeware range is so vast, yet all affordable and on trend - I particularly love all the rattan elements and the layering of textures. I chose linen sheets for the bedroom, such a lovely fabric for those warmer, balmy nights - I love the stone colour as a soft, easy alternative to white, and have mixed with hints of pink to create a soft dreamy pallette. Introducing foliage to a room is made easy with faux plants - the only type of houseplant I can’t kill!
This is incorporated into the home office set-up, too, which has more of a New York loft feel with an industrial style chair and hints of monochrome. Both rooms are so different, but both are my style at the same time, and La Redoute thankfully, caters to all of my evolving style choices.
