I bought two pairs of these shorts as I loved the colour, having zipped pockets, lightweight and the idea of inserting my phone safely in the inner lining pocket. Unfortunately, the material on the inner lining is very flimsy, the one pocket is too far down the leg, should be closer to your hip like other brands, and not that long, I don't have a long phone and the pocket barely cover it. As soon as I moved I could feel my phone moving about within the flimsy material. As soon as I started jogging my phone come flying out of the pocket and crashing to the ground. Luckily, my phone was OK, but I was gutted. My son has a couple of similar pairs of Adidas 2 in 1 shorts so we compared them. The inner lining in his holds your phone much more securely, has two pockets, one on each leg, yet the material is still lightweight and stretchy. He has run races in them and never had a problem with the phone coming out, although there is still a little side to side movement of the phone. As soon as he put them on he could feel the difference and when he started to move he was concerned for the safety of his phone. I tried on my sons shorts and did the same test with much better results. If the pocket was further up the leg, closer to the hip, a little longer and maybe a little narrower, like with another brand shorts I have, I feel your phone wouldn't be subjected to as much movement as it is in the current location. This is the first product I have ever had to return to Adidas over many, many years. Gutted. Clarification, the shorts my son has has been sold out for months, hence I didn't buy the same, just in case you were wondering.

All as you'd expect though there's only one phone pocket in the inner shorts. The two side zip pockets in the outer shorts are good but won't take any significant weight - a key is fine, a phone would not be comfortable (but that's what the inner pocket is for...). Nice bright colour. Super lightweight and comfy.

Great light shorts with lining that I use for when I visit PT for training / shouting (or 'loud encouragement') and for walking and other activities when I know I want something quick drying when I get, to be blunt, sweaty. Pockets very useful. Outer is slightly baggier than I am used to but hey, I can pretend I am down with the kids (or something)! Seriously, nice bit of kit.
