Sonora Geometric 100% Cotton Percale 200 Thread Count Duvet Cover, printed, LA REDOUTE INTERIEURS

I bought this duvet cover along with a matching fitted sheet, large square cushion covers, pillow cases and a pair of co-ordinating pillow cases.

The quality of the fabric is lovely. The pattern is lovely. But the size is way too big. I ordered King Size which is what I always order from La Redoute. It was labelled as King Size but it was much bigger than a king size. If it’s placed on the bed without the duvet inside, it almost touches the floor at both sides and overhangs to near the floor at the bottom.

It is such a shame. Customer service say it’s because of European sizing being different to UK but I have many bedding sets from La Redoute and I’ve never had this problem before. I suspect it is a super king sized cover in king sized packaging.

In fairness, I was told I could return it even though it had been opened but I really like the cover and wouldn’t know what to do about sizing for a replacement. So, I opted to keep the cover. Customer service have offered me a discount and that will go towards the cost of having it made smaller by a seamstress.

It is on my bed at present with some clips holding it in place and the excess fabric is at the far side of the bed and can’t be seen. The excess at the bottom is tucked under the mattress.

This bedding looks and feels luxurious on my bed, the clouts and design are perfect and the cotton is high quality. Fit is exact to size and the long flap at bottom of duvet tucks under mattress and holds in place so it doesn’t move in the night
