Hiba Solid Oak and Steel Coffee Table, natural, LA REDOUTE INTERIEURS

Have bought a few bits of furniture (Quilda) from here but this is not to that standard.

No pre drilled holes to attach the wood to the frame. Attaching legs to top frame is fiddly and if you don’t get the screw perfectly lined up then it will fall into the frame and we could only get out with a magnet. Very pleased we didn’t order more of this range.

Stupidly didn't read the reviews! No pre drilled holes?! That's an absolute joke! My cheap table from b&m's for £25 had pre drilled holes! As one of the reviewers mentioned - instructions specifically mention not to use electric screwdriver🤣🤣

I got it on sale but definitely not worth the money. Now I'm stuck with it and the dining table from the same range which will probably take me 3days to assemble with a regular screwdriver 🤡🤡

Delivery was an absolute nightmare too. Why ask me what day I want it delivered when you then change it twice without checking if I'm ok with it

The finished table us beautiful but it was an absolute nightmare to assemble. Pre drilled holes would be useful. The instructions specifically say not to use power tools/drills and only a hand screwdriver so it was definitely more hard work than it needed to be!!

I also think it'll scratch really easily which is not ideal.

Such a shame because the overall design is beautiful.

Over £400 at full price the quality is poor. If I had got as far as assembling it this would have been difficult as there are no pre-drilled hole in the top and shelf. I don't know if this is another fault or a design flaw.

Really lovely materials. Looks great, was able to construct this on my own.

In the process of renovating my living space and this coffee table was exactly what I was looking for. It’s a really nice quality piece and looks fantastic in the room. A word of caution when assembling it though; it certainly wasn’t quick or easy. The instructions say no drill required, assume so as not to damage the wood, however you have to screw the top and under shelf to the metal which is really difficult as the oak is solid. Overall a good buy. This is a sturdy and good quality table.

I was disappointed when putting this together to discover that the various parts of the steel frame do not meet flush in the corners. Because of errors/inaccuracies in where the screw holes are drilled, the 'leg' parts do not meet the main 'frame' nicely. The corners do not line up very well, some worse than others.That said, it is very easy to put together, with only a screwdriver required additional to the hex/allen key provided. The wood also looks attractive.

This is an attractive, practical and sturdy table. It was easy to put together. It has transformed our room.
