These are lighter than Doc Martens, less expensive, and I can wear them in the rain without worrying about ruining them. I like these over Sperry's because the sole doesn't stink after wearing regularly. My feet love these- I have worn all throughout the day and no pain. If you plan to wear without socks, you will need to break them in slightly by bending the exterior of the shoes by where your skin might rub to help alleviate any blisters. I want to buy these in more colors and am buying a pair for my mom for Mother's Day.
