      Long awaited pair of 501's

      Have no been disappointed. Finally got my 501's that i could afford & look good in. Worth the wait & wear with pride. Always wanted a red label on my bum. You can spot a pair of Levi's from a distance. One very happy 50+ lady

      I love 501’s

      As soon as my 501 jeans arrived I remembered why I loved them so much. The iconic tag, the feel of the material and the shape as I unfolded them. The fit is just right. Not too, not too loose. The slightly stiff buttons I know will ease with wear as the jeans age and mould to me. I feel so good wearing them. Ready for anything. Cool without trying.       Love the fit of these I would say that they are a bit on the bigger size so perhaps size down if you don’t want them too loose.

      Great jeans but I need a longer leg length!

      I really do love Levi’s jeans. I had women’s 501s in my teens in the late 90s (I don’t think they had the 1% stretch then though). However, back in the 90s, they were available in a 34 inch inside leg. I was a 28/34 and they fitted like a dream. Now, the longest leg length is 32, which, for me, is more of an ankle grazer/cropped. I’m really pleased that other styles are available in longer lengths, such as the flare, the bootcut, and wide leg, but it just seems strange that such an iconic jean wouldn’t be available in a longer leg. Please consider making them a little longer for us taller ladies. Size wise, I think these come up bigger than they used to years ago. I’m generally a size 10-12 (UK) but only need a 27 waist in these. They’re really good at keeping their shape too, but I’d definitely advise you to size down and buy the size you can squeeze into and do a few squats to stretch them out, rather than buying the size that fit comfortably (with wiggle room) right away. They soon ease up with a few squats, as long as they fit on the waist. If you’re a taller lady, looking for a longer leg to wear with boots, I’d recommend the wedgie bootcut as an alternative to these. I do find I need a 28 waist for the wedgie style though. Also, I’d be thrilled if you brought back the “distressed” wash 501s without the holes or fraying. I love the worn/washed look, but really don’t like jeans with engineered holes!
