    The Moab Speed 2 Leather Mid Waterproof is made from high-quality nubuck leather and uses a blend of materials for a stylish, modern approach to leather hiking boots for the autumn season.
    Fitted with a waterproof membrane inside a moulded leather, synthetic and textile upper that keeps water out of the shoe while wicking away moisture. A breathable mesh lining, a mesh-covered footbed and a removable EVA foam footbed that rests on a Vibram TC5+ outsole designed to improve grip and evacuate debris with every step.       The shoe has some quality issues. It’s an expensive shoe and I do believe it could be put together better. I feel like the rubber toe will eventually open up. I also has some fraying already after barely using, along with a lace almost breaking right now. I contacted support and they were very helpful, so I was able to get another. The shoe is sturdy for hiking. There is not much breathing to the shoe because it’s leather. It does get very warm quickly. Overall I do feel like it has been comfortable after hiking and has good support and grips but it could be made better.

      These are so uncomfortable in ways that are only identifiable after actually wearing which means they can’t be returned. Waste of $$$. They fit very large and wide.. I love a little toe room but these are seriously WIDE. Then when properly laced they hurt around the ankle the ankle bone specifically. The dig and rub in that spot to a pony unbearable. If you loosen them to make it more comfortable, then they don’t fit right and your heels coming up out of the shoe. Just not good at all.

      Loved the look and read the review prior to purchase. However, I sized up to a 7 as suggested and they were too big. The color was disappointing as it was not as gray as the photos. Too light for my taste. I plan to keep looking because Merrel provides a great product.

      Moab Speed 2 Leather Mid Waterproof

      I bought these for my recovery after foot surgery. Provides the traction I needed and kept me at the right height with my post-op boot. Wearing both shoes now and they are so comfortable with perfect fit. Great ankle support with plenty of toe room. The black ones look good but I may grab another color since I like them so much. Did great keeping feet warm and dry through 3 inches of snow. I would recommend to my friends.
