      Disappointing Purchase

      Very disappointing purchase. Always had a Morphy Richards toaster, but this is not a patch on the old one, which unfortunately gave up the ghost after many years of service. I can see myself replacing this one in the coming months. One day it toasts good, the next it's overdone and the setting has not been changed. It's so unpredictable and frankly, it's unreliable.

Then, set the toaster to its lowest setting and depress the lever without any bread inside to start a toasting cycle. Monitor the time it takes for the toast to pop up; it should be between 50 and 150 seconds. If it pops up within this range, the toaster is functioning properly, and any inconsistencies may be related to the bread.
