Signatures Barnabé Coat in Wool Mix - LA REDOUTE COLLECTIONS

I purchased this coat as I am looking to create a capsule wardrobe, incorporating classic and stylish pieces that can be mixed easily without too much effort, quality over quantity. This coat is just gorgeous and despite it being summer. I have used it twice in the last week! The only issue that I have had was that someone had obviously purchased and then returned the coat, as it had multiple hairs on it, not my colour. After a thorough de-fuzzing, it was prefect. So pleased with it. Also bought a size up so I can wear chunky sweaters or a blazer underneath, so it's a very loose fit on me.

I've been looking for a mid pink coat to replace an old one for a long time and was very lucky to get the last size 10 in the sale. Great colour, wool content and quite heavy weight, so warm. It's a lovely fit as I sized down to get a more fitted look. I often find coats much too long in the sleeve but this wasn't. Very pleased with this.

Never ordered from here before. Honestly it won't be my last. In fact I've ordered this coat in a other colour together with a trench too.

The quality is outstanding. Sizing is bang on and looks so classy.

Had so many compliments when wearing this too.

I really wanted to like this coat when I ordered it. And it is a very nice tone of dark navy blue. However when taking it out of the packaging the first thing I noticed was the quality of the fabric. It was stiff, and did not look or feel like you would expect a wool mix fabric to feel. It looked like a 100% polyester fabric would.

The coat is excessively heavy, to the point of being uncomfortable. I compared the weight to another wool-mix coat I own of a similar length and design from a different brand - which is thick - and this one almost doubled it in weight. Even if everything else about the coat was good, I would have returned it as I don't want to be exhausted when wearing a coat.

The design is also strange. It's meant to be oversized, however the sleeves are set at the shoulder at a strange place. They aren't off from the shoulder enough for the oversized look. It just makes it look as if you are wearing a man's coat that's slightly big on you. Not flattering.

Needles to say I had to return this coat.

I absolutely adore my new coat, the colour is noted as being purple. It’s burgundy and I love it! I ordered a size 6 due to the style of the coat. I’m normally am 8 or 10 petite, this fits perfect, I’m 5ft, the arms and length are perfect
