      Scalding risk be careful

      Whilst the design and colours look very nice the practical side of using this kettle is of real concern. The spout being short means when you tip it to pour hot steam moves upwards and can easily scald your hand - especially as you have to tip almost to the vertical position to empty it. Most kettles don’t have this issue I now realise due to either a spout that is positioned further away or not having to tip the kettle as much.

      Love all tower products but with the cavelleto kettle on the top of the lid the copper discoloured and came off.

      I tried to get a new lid for the kettle but although it was still under guarantee had so many problems I just got a new kettle instead.

      Does what it is supposed to - looks smart, reasonably well-built and sturdy, boils pretty quickly. All good. My number one issue is that it is extremely awkward to actually empty. You can try to pour it all out, but there's a plastic housing which holds the filter on the inside of the spout which stands "proud" of the point where the spout actually adjoins to the kettle. It means if you try to pour out the contents normally, water does not fully drain - there's always a bit sloshing around. You basically have to turn it upside down with the lid off to fully empty it. I am one of those people who has to have fresh water for each cup of tea, I don't reboil water (terrible ecologically I know, and I try to only boil what I need, but it's not an exact science). It seems like a needless frustration and poor design.

      It's a fair price, it works, and not everyone is like me, so I am not saying it's a dead loss, but for me it's not a 5 star kettle for these reasons.
