Nagari Wool & Silk Rug, ocher / celadon, AM.PM

I was a little wary about ordering this online as the colours varied so much in the pictures but I’m glad I did. The teal blues and greens sit well in my bedroom and there are subtle hints of different colours from the sari silk. Feels velvety to walk on and looks far more expensive than the (offer) price I paid

So pleased with this rug! This is the third rug I’ve purchased from La redoute and I’ve loved every one. All have been excellent quality, for a reasonable price. This rug was the most expensive purchase but is exceptionally beautiful, the colours are perfect for my living room, muted blues, greens and unusual with the use of bright sari colours running through. Feels lovely underfoot too. Very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend

I am really happy with this rug. It felt completely at home as soon as it was unrolled. The quiet colours and their apparent randomness across the weave are very pleasing and the overall effect (it’s hard to describe what the colour as a whole is) fits easily with both the main paint colour of the room (Farrow & Ball “Pale Hound” which is a sort of English mustardy green) and the paintings on the walls. The designs running in bands across the width are fairly busy - perhaps busier than would normally appeal to me - but manage to articulate the colours without being intrusive. The different bands aren’t arranged symmetrically, which together with the painterly placing of the colours gives the definite feeling of this being a handspun thing, drawing indirectly on oriental rug traditions, rather than factory produced. There isn’t a thick pile but the individual bobbles are warm to the touch and underfoot. The inclusion of recycled saris somewhere in the weave is a great idea.

Delivery was efficient and I was kept informed about a slight delay in the beginning.

This rug exceeds expectations, the blue-green wool grounds my furniture and the intriguing hints of the sarees woven through are charming and a lovely talking point. It's soft underfoot and practical in a room with an outside door! I would have loved the biggest size for even more impact and was tempted, given I purchased with 50% off. Highly recommended for style, substance and suitability for any interior trend. I recommend a rug underlay; I bought beforehand from another supplier.
