The bed is great and not that hard to assembly. The only things is that it is not that sturdy as we thought it would be.

Great value. Sturdy, heavy bed, with a modern look. My husband put it together in a short time with no problems. Really pleased with the purchase. Item was tracked for delivery. We are considering ordering a second one for the spare room while the sale is on.

Strong, sturdy and sure to last a lifetime. High quality bedframe which is HEAVY solid wood. Easy to put together, took about an hour. Would have been quicker except one of the slats needed trimming to fit a slightly-wrongly-cut panel, which was very unusual and foxed me for a while. It didn't affect the final finish though so not deducting a star. Be aware that the delivery took over 3 weeks though, but for under £300 in the sale, well worth the wait.

I made the huge mistake of purchasing this bed before reading the reviews (I usually read them all first!) and unfortunately didn’t realise that the measurements were for a European size king and not UK standard. Only just purchased a new mattress so not an option to change that so now I’m out of pocket need a new bed and have a brand new bed that I don’t know what to do with!!!! It is a nice solid bed and had it been the right size I’d of been thrilled with it. Just wished it would of been made clearer on the website.

This bed is beautiful-the quality of the wood and the craftsmanship is amazing ! I have never seen such a beautiful bed and I am extremely happy -thank you La Redoute!!

Only had it for a short time, after sleeping for 3 years with a mattress directly on the floor. Obviously made a difference. Makes no noise, which was the main concern to me. And high enough to store things below.
