Denim favourites with @bubblyaquarius

Hey guys, I’m Rachael AKA Bubbly Aquarius and I’m a content creator/ style blogger based in East London. I love sharing my outfits, photography, beauty faves, homeware and travel snaps (ahh the good old days!) over on my blog and Instagram, and you can follow me on Instagram at @bubblyaquarius or find my blog here.
In this post I’m going to be chatting all things denim and sharing some of my favourite styles with you. Jeans are a key part of most wardrobes and definitely a staple for me, featuring in around 80% of my weekly outfits. There is so much you can do with jeans and so many varying styles, cuts and fits too which can often make shopping for them a little overwhelming, so I’m going to share some tips on shopping for, and styling them, and hopefully help streamline the process for you!

La Redoute have an amazing denim selection on offer and really do cater for everyone - whether you’re into skinnies, flares, boyfriends or cropped - they have the perfect pair. I usually tend to opt for a high waisted straight leg and these Levi’s ribcage jeans fit that bill perfectly! They have a button fly which I love and also come in two lengths too which is great for someone tall like me (I’m 5ft 11 for reference). Although if you’re shorter and jeans tend to be too long, you can always chop off the bottoms for a raw hem which I think looks really cool, or of course have them taken up.

When shopping for jeans, finding the perfect fit that flatters your shape is paramount, and usually if they’re a little hard to get into then they will be a great fit as jeans always stretch after a few wears. Jeans shopping online is arguably easier since you can order a few pairs and try them on in the comfort of your own home, and with other pieces you already own. I’d recommend to order a few different styles and washes to see what works best for you. In terms of styling – jeans can work in so many ways with so many different combinations. I’ve gone for a casual every day look here with a Breton stripe and some chunky ankle boots, but this pair could quite easily be dressed up with heels and a blouse or cami – because jeans and a nice top is always a failsafe option!
