Styling your bed with the Minimalist Nature trend with @casabird

Making the bed each day is said to give a sense of order, a feeling that all is right with the world. We are all seeking a sense of calm in our lives just now, and here, we hear from Kailah @casabird on her take on our Minimalist Nature trend.

A peaceful bedroom

As our home is all on one floor, it is important to us to create a sense of fluidity and peace throughout. When looking at refreshing our bedroom, we wanted to lean into the current trends for calming interiors, beginning with Wabi Sabi – a Japanese way of life and style of living that emphasises symmetry, natural tones and the beauty of the imperfect. I then saw the Minimalist Nature trend on La Redoute and knew I had found my solution!

Natural Linen

Linen’s wrinkled texture is what makes it unique and beautiful. So, I was on the hunt for the perfect linen bedding. I didn’t have to look long. The search was over when I saw the Estavelle Fringed 100% Washed Linen Duvet Cover on the La Redoute website. It comes in four colours but I knew right away that ‘natural’ was the only correct answer.

I paired it with the matching Estavelle Fringed 100% Washed Linen Pillowcases in ’natural’ and for a bit of contrast, I decided on the Linot 100% Washed Linen Fitted Sheet in ‘Taupe’ with matching pillowcases.

Bed Layering

For a little added comfort, of course, I also bagged the Linange Washed Linen Bedspread in the colour ‘natural’. After making my bed for the first time, I knew I nailed it. All of my Wabi- Sabi dreams have come true thanks to the perfect linen at La Redoute from their Minimalist Nature trend.
