The 5.6 L stainless steel bowl means you can easily knead up to 3.7 kg of bread dough (3) or make 11 dozen cookies, all in one go. However much you’re making, and whatever the ingredients, bowl-lift style stand mixers make it easy with their power and large capacity. They’re a little taller and bigger than tilt-head mixers, and the bowl firmly locks into place, making them sturdier too, for heavy mixtures. The lever smoothly lowers and raises the mixing bowl into position and the bowl attaches at 3 secure lock points for maximum stability. You’ll find the bowl’s ergonomic handle makes it easy to position and lift off, even when full.

      Good dough kneading

      It is good for kneading larger quantities of dough which my previous mixer couldn't manage. Other than that it isn't anything to shout about. Only time will tell if it last longer than my previous mixer.

      5KSM60SPXBBM ART STAND MIXER, Bowl Lift

      After 10 years plus my previous Kitchenaid stand mixer was starting to jump when I kneaded dough and I was constantly having to tighten the screw. Eventually decided to purchase a new one to complement my new kitchen. Having looked at what was available I decided I couldn’t beat the quality and value of Kitchenaid. Rather than buy like for like I looked at the bowl lift model and decided to give this a try. So glad I did, once I’d got used to it I found it was great at mixing cake, barely any manual mixing required and it kneads my dough in minutes. I’ve had great results with my sourdough which transfers to the final bake.

      Love this mixer

      I've had a classic stand mixer for about 10 years and its stood my in good stead for that time it ran faultlessly - I decided to go big on bread this year and to stop buying store rubbish so I went for this as its bigger than a classic tilt head with a heavier motor and can more than handle 1 to 1.5kg dough but its still small enough to live on the countertop permanently, the matt black finish looks great but does tend to show fingerprints a bit but I dont care because it looks so good - I'm only 1 month in with it but so far I can't think of a single bad thing to say about it (maybe that none of my tilt head stuff fits it, but i knew that when I purchased it) - all good

      Great Mixer

      As my old mixer was getting tired I decided, after a bit of research to buy a KitchenAid Bowel Lift Mixer and I'm glad I did. This mixer is a great piece of kit. I made some dough for some cheese rolls in it. The dough turned out smooth and well kneaded the rolls turned out fantastic and I was very pleased. I brought this mixer as it is more powerful than the stand mixers and as I do a lot of bread baking this model suits me. I hope to try cake and pastry making in the near future.

      Faulty item - not worth the money

      Brand new…doesn’t work! Great start for an expensive purchase! Can’t get a replacement, got to send back for a refund! Definitely not ‘artisan’
