The 5.6 L stainless steel bowl means you can easily knead up to 3.7 kg of bread dough (3) or make 11 dozen cookies, all in one go. However much you’re making, and whatever the ingredients, bowl-lift style stand mixers make it easy with their power and large capacity. They’re a little taller and bigger than tilt-head mixers, and the bowl firmly locks into place, making them sturdier too, for heavy mixtures. The lever smoothly lowers and raises the mixing bowl into position and the bowl attaches at 3 secure lock points for maximum stability. You’ll find the bowl’s ergonomic handle makes it easy to position and lift off, even when full.

      Disappointed

      I bought this primarily to make bread. I had read reviews saying smaller wattage machines moved or shock mixing wholemeal dough, so bought one with higher wattage. There is a large space under the dough wand which flour never gets incorporated into the dough from. Despite have a planetary action and 60 odd points of manoeuvre, it doesn't come close enough to the sides to draw in dough to be kneaded. It's all used to the sides while the wand gaily rotates nothing in the centre. I spend so long incorporating mixture and scraping sides it WD be quicker to knead by hand. I've tried doubling the ingredients but it made no difference

      Heavy and difficult to assemble

      Look nice but very heavy and it’s really hard to get the bowl on the arm. The splash guard is also difficult to put on the bowl.

      Love It

      I’ve only had the machine for about a month but I love it already. Much quieter than I expected and so stable compared to my previous mixer which would jump all over the place when kneading bread.

      Perfect addition to my busy kitchen

      Love this machine. It’s quiet and I like the fact it has multiple speeds. The strong motor handles bread dough without overheating. The quirky design looks good and the bowl can hold large quantities. The tools are strong metal and not plastic which is good. They are efficient in reaching the sides and bottom of the mixing bowl. The bowl securely clicks into place preventing any spillage. My Kitchenaid pasta roller and cutter attachment fit this machine so I’m very happy. I chose the cream colour as it will never look dated. The bowl lift action is easy to use and ingredients can easily be added.

      Good dough kneading

      It is good for kneading larger quantities of dough which my previous mixer couldn't manage. Other than that it isn't anything to shout about. Only time will tell if it last longer than my previous mixer.
