      Cheaply Made and Non-Repairable

      The internal gearing in the machine from the motor to the spindle contains a plastic or nylon gear that is prone to failure. What’s more, Morphy Richards does not offer replacement parts for purchase and there are no other companies that do. I found this out after the mixer would not spin anymore and hours of searching the internet. I’m not too upset about the money, as this is fairly inexpensive, but I hate the idea that the whole thing will end up in a landfill because of a cheap part.

      recommended great new design concept

      very happy with the mixer, love the fact I can access the whole bowl and the scraper attachments. the bowl is a bit heavy when a 2lb loaf tin worth of banana oat bread is in it, need to wrap it in a tea towel to hold it against me to pour so I don't dirty my clothes

      I liked the concept of this mixer, being 'compact', its footprint is not as big as that of a normal food mixer. However, I have had to drop 2 stars because when making bread dough, and using the dough hooks, I have to constantly stop the mixer to use a spatula to sweep around the inside and the bottom of the bowl as the dough hooks don't go far enough to the sides or far enough down and dough just stays there!

      I experienced the same annoyance when I was mixing ingredients to make a cake.

      And lastly, it is such a pain to clean it all up after use, I've not had a stand mixer before but I'm sure they are easier to wash and dry after use than this compact mixer.

      An issue with my mixer

      I bought this mixer last year. I was delighted, at first, until I’ve realised that when I’m making a bread dough, once the ingredients turn into a formed consistency, the Dough Hook just moving around, dragging the dough with it instead of kneading it (which requires to take it out of the bowl, and continue to knead it by hand).       Great Mixer

      Loving this mixer. The only thing that would make it perfect would be a handle on the bowl so you can hold it properly when pouring the mixture out. The bowl is quite heavy and is awkward to hold without a handle. Maybe something to think about.

      I LOVE IT!

      Wow. My mixer arrived yesterday so what better thing to make other than a freshly baked loaf. The machine is stunning. Looks crisp, clean and modern, very compact and space saving compared to other mixers out there and my bread was ready for proving after a good old knead in just 4 minutes. This was a 500gr loaf and the mixer did a mighty fine job with it. Easy to use, very sturdy, well made and cleans up in no time at all. I'm thinking of what to make next as I love it. Bargain price at the moment too.

      I’m loving this mixer, it’s brilliant! So much easier to clean and store away. Believe me I’ve had several in my lifetime. (I was a chef patisserie for many years) it’s easy to use, you can see in side the bowl. Love the integral bowl scrapers. I’m very happy with it. Great design.
