11/01/2026OK - but!!!!!
Pros - it percs coffee
Cons - the Carafe (Jug) is ridiculous - the designer obviously had a bad hair day. Why ridiculous? The lid cannot be removed so if you want to fill with filtered water from your fridge - no chance. There is also a strange tube extending down into the jug from the lid - not sure why. This, combined with non removable lid, makes cleaning the jug more difficult. Also draining after cleaning (difficult to get a teatowel in to dry) is difficult as it has to perch between the jug base and the tube. This coud all be improved by making the lid removable - as was possible with our previous percolator. This whole design seems to have been done by someone whose never used one!!!
I wish we could have got a replacement jug for our previous percolator (no longer available)

10/01/2026A disappointing replacement
We bought this filter coffee maker to replace the morphy Richard’s coffee maker we were given 20+ years ago. The jug was accidentally smashed and a replacement was nearly the same price as the new coffee maker so we bought this one. Unfortunately it is a toy compared to the old one. Smaller and made of cheaper materials. The lid on the jug of the old one easily clicked on and off making it easy to wash and dry. This lid is unnecessarily complicated. It’s making coffee just as well but it is a disappointing replacement.
