Ende Solid Oak & Woven Rope Stool, natural, SO'HOME

I order three stools, I received one and two faux leather dining chairs. This was ten days ago. I contacted le redoute the next day. So far no nothing on collection of dining chairs, nothing on replacement of missing stools and no answer on whether the white washed stool is meant to be 'natural oak' or we have received a different version by mistake.

For the stools themselves, they are sturdy and I like the style. The woven rope seat seat is not finished in the corners like the pictures. Instead of overlapping strand by strand. They are layed in groups of around 5-7. Minor detail but disappointing.

The colour of the stool I received is very pale. It has been treated with a white lacquer this can be seen clearly where it has run to the bottom of the stool and collected. I have asked le redoute on three separate occasions whether the supplier, Gallery Direct has sent us a whitewashed version instead of natural oak. I have also asked the question do they produce a white washed version and a natural oak version. Le redoute have even said the later question can not be answered without photographic evidence of the stool I received (this has been sent no reply so far). This attitude clearly shows what I am up against.

To sum up; the stools are quite well made, but colour is off. In my opinion making them appear cheaper. Had I known this before ordering I would give 4 stars. The after sales has been slow and after ordering 17 days ago I am yet to find out if the one of three stools I did receive is meant to be the colour it is, or if that too has been sent in error. I have also had two large boxes sitting in my house all Christmas. I shall be returning to work shortly so it will be much harder for someone to be home all day for a collection of the dining chairs the supplier sent in error. The lack of any real apology and glacial progress on fixing the issues leads me to gives 3 stars. N.B I don't like it when customer review the service rather than the product. I feel it is relevant as by agreeing to spend your money on these stools you potentially open yourself up to a great deal frustration from a company that does not put it's customers first.

Really pleased with my purchase of 5 stools. They arrived fully assembled and within a week. They feel sturdy and well made. Highly recommend

Purchased three of these for my kitchen island. The stools are sturdy, well-made and a perfect height for my kitchen counter. Not only do they look good, but they're also comfortable to sit on. (NB. Standard seat cushions fit on top for when the rope cord wears out!). Would recommend.
