First let’s get the elephant in the room out of the way. This is 100% NOT walnut wood.

Secondly the quality of the finish is very poor. The wood isn’t even sanded, it’s been left rough sawn and with splinters sticking out all over. It doesn’t appear to have any finish on it either, so no paint, no varnish, no oil. If you’re looking for something you can paint to suit your colour scheme or something then this is a bonus, if you don’t mind doing the sanding yourself first of course. If you’re specifically looking for a walnut finish, or indeed a finish of any kind, you will be disappointed. It is pale, unsanded, unfinished softwood.

It did not have all the fixings with it.

On the positive side, once constructed it feels sturdy for the most part and the capacity is great. The wooden handles that hold the bag in the frame are a great idea.

Would I buy this again? Absolutely not. It’s misleading to call something “walnut wood” when it’s not, if it were honestly labelled as some sort of cheap softwood then the price should be lower as it’s not worth what is being charged.

P.s. Should say, my husband is a carpenter, it’s definitely not walnut wood or even wood finished in a walnut effect varnish/oil - he would know.

I bought this to tidy up the laundry area of my kitchen and it's a great match for solid wood worktops. Perfect colour to match (oak) really solid build, and nice tidy design.
