One of the compliments I often get from my followers, clients and friends is how well I can wear a dress from day into night.
Being a mum, I often find myself dashing from one occasion to the next, quickly getting dressed while the rest of the family are waiting in the car. Having a versatile and sustainable wardrobe is essential, especially one that contains a dress that can be quickly dressed up or down, this is a must have piece in my wardrobe all year round.
I am going to share with you in this blog my tips for making the most of your summer dress and tell you a few of my favourite ways to wear them along with other versatile pieces that you're likely to already have in your wardrobe.
My daily go to look is wearing a pair of high-top trainers with a dress, if it's cold I'll add a sweatshirt over the top making the dress look like a skirt to define my waist. A great tip for a chic look is to wear a belt and tucking the front of your sweatshirt into the belt, another way to secure the sweatshirt is to use a piece of elastic the size of your waist.
If I need to look a little bit smarter, I’ll remove the sweatshirt and add a blazer with a flat shoe or keep the high tops on for a cool on trend look.
Swap the blazer for a trench and throw a pair of heels in your bag and you've got an evening look, for a more casual evening look wear your dress open over a pair of jeans. 
Yes, I am counting down the days to lock down being over.
Don’t forget about your dresses on colder days, layer them with a polo neck, leather look leggings look great under a dress combined with a pair of boots.
