02/06/20261 structural part on 1 chair damaged on arrival
It is a gorgeous set, perfect for what we wanted. On assembling the first chair, the instructions aren't particularly clear. But we preserved and it is lovely. Comfy and stylish. Then on to the footstool, fiddly but lovely wheb finished. Came to bulld the second chair and on one of the preassembled side parts, one of the structural joints was broken so the chair can't be built.
Reported to La Redoute who said that a spare part can't be sent and we'd have to disassemble it all, repackage and return. It should reach the warehouse within 14 days and then we'd receive a refund in a further 5 days. The if I wanted to reorder I would need to phone them so they could honour the price I paid originally.
I am not prepared to disassemble the chair and stool that took so long to assemble in the first place, nor jump through the many hops required to get my money back and then try and reorder a replacement. I have always used La Redoute and am sorely disappointed I. Their lack of customer service here
