You will need a drill to attach to the wall or hire a carpenter. It comes with no instructions or way to attach to wall. You will have to drill through the brown wooden sections on the back and side destroying the look.

I unfortunately had to return it as it was slightly too big for my room.

Ok so this furniture looks great once it’s assembled and on the wall but there were no fixtures supplied by La Redoute and it took me the entire weekend to hang. You’d expect a floating unit like this to come supplied with a rail that you fix to the wall but nope!

I hung this on my brick wall in my bedroom. You will need to use sturdy fixtures as the unit itself weight about 5kg. I used RAWLBOLTS M6 X 85MM with a 12mm masonry drill bit. The holes in the back of the unit are too small to accommodate but drilling carefully through them with the 6mm bolts was okay. You’ll also need someone to help you eyeball when it comes to hanging the unit as you’re basically screwing it on the wall blind, there’s no way to disassemble the unit and screw on only the back panel. If you are hanging this off plasterboard you’ll need different fixtures.

I’m no beginner to DIY and this was a complete pain in the you-know-what to get in the wall. I honestly don’t know what LR are thinking with this unit. They need to rethink their assembly and either provide a rail to hang this unit off or rethink the construction so that the back panel can be affixed to the wall separately from the rest to make installation easier.

The wood is poorly finished (I used beeswax to improve it). The white panels mark very easily which is disappointing! I notice the cup is placed on the book in the photo, this is because it would cause scratching to the top if the cup was placed on it! We are having to buy a opaque piece of glass to cover the top. If I had realised just how poor this was I would have returned it but as I built it I glued the dowels so I can't strip it down easily!!

A really nice bedside table. I got right-hand side one too and they look great in the master bedroom. It was a little tricky to put up but worth it.

Lovely tables and look great when up but so disappointed it didn’t come with any fittings or instructions on how to mount them to the wall. We really struggled .

A floating shelf that comes with no attachment, guidance or information about how to actually attach it to the wall?

I think for the price, we were expecting better quality and certainly not flat pack furniture we had to put together. It’s much cheaper looking than we had hoped. It’s already scratched on the top so faint grey lines have appeared and we’ve only had these shelves up for a week. The concept is great. We wanted something that was off the floor but other than that, we’re disappointed. Normally I love the products we get from La Redoute but these will sadly have to be replaced in less than a year because they are so cheap.
