Breakfast Suite 1.7L Variable Temperature Kettle - 5KEK1701 - KITCHENAID
The 1.7 L variable temperature kettle quickly and quietly boils water to the temperature of your choice. Automatic heating technology takes care of boiling your water and automatically shuts off after boiling is complete.
Its generous size means you can heat water for multiple servings of tea, coffee, cereals and more.
It's convenient to fill at the tap with its lid-release button, and you can check the water window to clearly see the water level.
A nice chime lets you know when your water has reached the desired temperature for your brew.
There's a removable and washable limescale filter that helps to reduce the presence of limescale and a neat cord wrap in the base prevents any excess cord from cluttering up your countertop.

06/05/2026kettle
The button for releasing the kettle doesn't work. Bearing in mind the price, that's not great. The kettle looks nice but isn't functional

03/04/2026Kettle lid
Good kettle but the lid sticks on occasion when trying to open. When you pay top price you expect better.

26/03/2026Faulty lid mechanism
Haivng been pleased initially that the replacement we received under warranty after reporting that the lid on our previous identical kettle no longer operated, we were disappointed that the new one showed exactly the same problem within a month. We requested a refund as the fault seems to be a design issue but this was refused as the warranty period covering the original purchase had now expired. It is disapointing that an expensive item from a reputable manufacturer is apparently expected to last little more than the two year warranty period.

19/03/2026Great apart from the lid catch
Boils quietly and very fast. The only trouble is the lid. It does not always open on first second or third try. Looking online they tell you to open the lid fully when filling as this will reset the hinge and make the.catch sit in the right place. For the price this is not ideal. Lid catch needs a little more thought

10/03/2026Awful sound and dancing kettle
Awful sound which can’t be turned off , is like trains station signal. Start button is small and placed inconveniently by the base making whole kettle move on the surface, so I need to hold kettle when I turning it on. Big disappointment.
