      My second!

      This is my second! I made the mistake of buying another brand to replace the original one but have gone back to Morphy Richard’s because the non stick coating is so much better and the controls are much simpler. It cooks great casseroles and pot roasts and it’s so useful being able to sear on the hob.

      A great piece of kit and a super competitive price. Compared to our last slow cooker this is sleek and lightweight with a non stick inner. Three heat setting make.it extremely versatile when out and about

      Peeling coating

      I was given a MR slow cooker 2 years ago. Only washed it by hand with a soft cloth and used wooden spoon to stir ingredients but the Teflon coating is coming off. I don't use it all the time so am disappointed. Can I replace the pot with a ceramic one

      Best kitchen tool ever. Have now ordered the 6.5l model as well. Makes fantastic soups, stews and curries. No need to seal meat seperately really is a one pot job. Great piece of kit

      Not as good as the old model

      I bought this sear and stew to replace my old model that had stopped working .

      My original one had a hot plate which you put the pot on to brown the meat and other ingredients.

      Once things were browned , you turned the setting to slow cooker . Absolutely loved it .

      I was really disappointed that this sear and stew didn't have this feature , instead you put the metal dish onto the hob , brown the meat ( just the meat ?) and then pick the hot dish up and put it in the slowcooker part of the contraption.

      Once you've done this , the cooker is easy to use.

      I jus feel that this older model was much cleverer and safer .

      If this is the first or only type of sear and stew that you've ever owned then you will be more than happy with it . I've been spoilt having the older better version .
