      Good for discounted price

      I bought the white version - I would say the colour is closer to ivory.

      It is easy to assemble. The MDF is of decent quality, a decent weight behind it.

      We are using it as a bookshelf against the chimney stack in the bedroom and it gives a nice focal point. It is sturdy enough to take two shelves of books.

      Be aware that the section cut out of the back so that the surround sits on the skirting board is only about 6cm - I had to make a further cut so that it sits on the Victorian skirting board which is about 12cm high

      Well made and unusual shelves

      I found this quite easy to put together. It feels solid and has a very smooth satin finish. It had been extremely well packaged so no danger of any damage in transit. I have bought it to be a focal point to a room which has a chimney breast but no mantel piece and I think it looks really lovely. It was good value with a discount.

      Not your average flat pack furniture

      I love it. It’s such great quality, I always rely on la radoute for quality and style but this item was so low priced I thought maybe it would be flimsy MDF but it’s solid, the detailing is spot on, colour isn’t going to chip easily and it looks so good.
