Change in Circumstances
If your circumstances have changed, for example through illness, change in personal situation or for any other reason and you think it would be helpful for us to know, please get in touch so that we can make sure that we can support you moving forward.

There are several ways we can help, including:

Giving you more time to pay
If you are experiencing very short-term difficulties we can give you more time to pay an overdue amount.

Giving you time and space to get independent advice
We can put a hold on your account to give you time and space to get some independent advice. You can find free and independent debt advice from the organisations listed below:
•StepChange Debt Charity ( 0800 138 1111
•National Debt Line ( 0808 808 4000 (England, Scotland & Wales only)
•Citizens Advice Bureau ( visit your local Citizens Advice Bureau
•Money Helper ( for advice managing money

Setting up a payment arrangement
We can offer you a repayment plan for a more affordable amount and reduce the amount of interest applied to your account until your situation improves. The payment arrangement will be recorded with credit reference agencies.

Long term help
If you don’t expect your situation to improve for some time, the most appropriate solution may be to close your account and arrange repayments over a longer period. No further interest would be added to your account. A default would be recorded with credit reference agencies.

We won’t apply any late payment charges to your balance whilst any of these support measures are in place.

You can get in touch to request help here. To work out how much you can afford to pay each month you can calculate your budget by completing an income and expenditure form Your household budget | National Debtline.
