    Recycling waste bins

There’s no denying that recycling impacts on the kitchen if done well. Regular piles of plastic and paper by the back door. Looked all over for the best kitchen bin solution and came across these. They were delivered direct and very quickly and we stacked them by the usual bin. They have proved a total success. I admit I have loads of bins in the kitchen but it’s much better than stacks of waste on the worktop!

Too Small for Every Day Family Use

These are great quality, look fantastic and colours are bang on trend and handles make it super easy to carry to the outdoor bin. Great for those small awkward storage spaces for bins or if you are limited for space and want to separate out the recycling…. but in reality, they are just too small for my everyday family use. I would be emptying the bins daily. Also slot size is ok for disposing of some items but forget scraping leftovers from the large plates and pots. You really need to remove the lid for this, or be sure to keep the food waste bin on top for ease of access.

    Good addition

It's a good new addition to my kitchen. I have 3 in total now stacked on top of each other . Easy to sort.

Works well for small space and looks good with plain interiors as well. It's lightweight and not plastic smell

    Innovative design

was given one of the Babantia Sort & Go  Stackable Recycle bins (20L) to trial and review.

It soon took a position on the end of the kitchen worktop, and I primarily used to fill with all the excessive plastic bags, e.g. bread, and others (though the images don’t show the cola cans that had been lurking on the kitchen windowsill that I put in it first!)

Having only one did impede the functionality of having additional ones stacked as designed (a maximum of 3) to check this feature.  However, the side profile shot shows that the lid for depositing your cans, plastic etc is about 10cm, which matched the angled front so that if another one was on top the base of it would not obstruct opening the bottom one.  In my area you can actually put plastic, paper and glass into the same green bin, so although I couldn’t use the “stacking” facility this was sufficient as I don’t need to separate the various items.  If your household needs to separate and 3 is needed it would become quite high, though only occupy a small area, and maybe positioning under the worktop would be more appropriate?

As with any of their products there’s a good build quality, which is made with tough ABS plastic.  It also carries a 10 year guarantee and service, though with most household this is more of an assurance that the quality is there than actually claiming should anything happen.

There is a carrying handle for ease of transport, and the lid is easily removed for emptying.  Overall I think it is an innovative design to solve the issue of space while saving the environment from the mountain of waste the food industry produces in single use plastics (and obviously use for paper, though I have a separate store for that already!)

    Sturdy

I really like the quality of this recycle bin, easy to open from lid on front without removing full cover. I like the smooth material used for this bin, it's very sturdy and easy to clean. Comes with the handle to carry it easily to empty. Brilliant product

    Good quality

A good size stackable recycling bin. The bin is made of a good quality plastic, the handle folds down out of the way. You can also stack with different coloured bins for recycling different types of waste, so instead of separate bins your waste is sorted and disposed of in one stacked bin. Very pleased fits nicely in my kitchen

Not sure what I expected, but from brabantia it was definitely more than was delivered. The fact its stackable is the only real plus but sating that the cost of these make it irrelevant in my opinion. Would have been better if there were a way to clip the top on more securely as it always pops off. Feels quite flimsy on the joins too. Had big plans and high hopes if these were well built, unfortunately no good for what I need.
