    Attempted Retro

    This is an attempted retro design and color. The burgundy color is classic for anyone who donned Timberlands back in the 80's I'm talking about 1981-1988 before becoming urban culture footwear! I can state so because I'm a product of Old Brooklyn NYC not new Brooklyn. Timberland go back to your roots and make your boots like when crafted in New England, USA. It's understood you want to be Green and environmental responsible but your staple boots must be leather lined again and the soles not separating from them. Appreciate the retro look of the latest premiums released but the boots must be actual premiums which used to be a basic Timberland standard. Bring the boots back home!

    Doesn't stand test of time.

    I didn't wear them for a long period of time because it just didn't get cold enough where I lived. I went to put them on and the sole had come apart from the upper. Had to glue them back together.

    They changed the boots.

    They advertised these as "Root Beer" color but they are listed as "Burgundy" on the box. The actual color of the boots is more of a Burgundy as well so I feel a bit mislead. My boots arrived with one of them all scuffed and scratched right on top of the toe. Brand new leather that looks old already. Why would they send these to a customer who paid full price? My biggest complaint, is that the inside of these boots has been changed significantly. I've owned 3 pairs of the 6inch premiums (heritage and non heritage editions) and they all had leather insides. These boots are lined with some sort of fabric on the inside that does not seem as durable as the leather. Disappointed with the quality assurance and quality of build of the boot. Expected more from Timberland but seems times are changing.

    I wish they had more of a pop to them, something to make them stand out a bit. Also they should've come with extra laces considering the price tag. Oh well just another box of footwear in the closet.

    Timberland please bring back the full length leather insole. It was always a staple with Timberland & it's disappointing to see it diminish. That's my only con. This boot is a throwback I've longed 4!
