Adza Oak Coffee Table, oak, LA REDOUTE INTERIEURS

I fell in love with the design of this table, and could forgive the high price because it was sold as solid wood – even going so far as to wait weeks for my order to come back in stock. Unfortunately, when it eventually arrived the quality of the table was terrible. The oak veneer was thin and peeling, and every surface of the table had been touched up with wood filler. I wouldn’t have minded so much if it had just been the base, but the top surface of the table also had a thin patch of veneer plastered over with filler. The whole table felt unfinished too, so be prepared to add a layer of lacquer yourself or any water will stain. I don’t know if we received a poor quality version that shouldn’t have passed checks, or whether they are all like this. The table looked nice from a distance, but up close in person it is quite poor. Such a shame! 2 stars only because the return was pretty low fuss.

Great looking table, nice light oak with a Matt finish, very modern / retro design and a it’s very solid and well built.
