A Tablescape Christmas with Geri from @overatno18

I love everything about interiors and styling and I have an Instagram page where I share our home and style as it evolves @overatno18

I have recently started a blog over on my website to share all our renovation projects, focusing on transformations you can achieve yourself on small budgets but I will also be covering bigger projects we’ve undertaken as well as smaller topics on things I love, such as seasonal styling.

Christmas is one of my absolute favourite times of year and there is something rather special and comforting about getting your home ready for the Christmas Holidays.

Home can mean different things to different people and I think this year has been the year we’ve realised how important our home environment is to us, particularly as we now spend so much time in them.

One of my favourite ways to make Christmas extra special is by decorating the Christmas table. Following the excitement of the Christmas morning and present unwrapping, we can often go our separate ways on Christmas day, kids off to play with their toys, adults to relax with a glass of fizz or start cooking Christmas dinner, but the one place we all come together again is at the Christmas table, so why not make it that extra bit special.

I really enjoyed creating this years Christmas table and I’ve included my top picks from the amazing range at La Redoute.

One of my key tips is to invest in quality dining pieces you can use time and time again, like beautiful cutlery, plates and glassware. I have chosen these particular pieces because I love them and believe the style and colours will be timeless and evolve with my evolving table style.

You could also choose your table linen and napkins in a similar way but this is something, I would be happy to change up from time to time, so this year I have gone for the warming tones of the table runner to compliment our existing Table and general kitchen home-style. With that I have added gold and black accents, through the cutlery, napkins and candle holders. There’s something very lux about this colour palette and combined with the other elements, it’s achieved a rustic lux look, which is what I wanted for this year. The beautiful gold tray is just absolutely perfect to serve drinks and aperitifs too.
